Internet comments are so zany and fun. New York Magazine recently broke down types of internet commentary by website; I think their descriptions are a bit boring, and I'm not sure how accurate they are. But I watched the slideshow twice because I like the concept so much.
Great comments in recent LAT opinion piece criticizing Obama's nomination of Elena Kagan to the SCOTUS:
"What Obama is doing here is a perfect reflection of his "parvenu", "nouveau rich" status, where he is doing everything he thinks will make him look like an authentic member of an upper caste, a country club, influential white guy, with Ivy League degree & an universe defined strictly by those schools."
