Body Scanners at LAX

My high school graduation trip to Cabo would have been a lot different if I had to go through one of these. This example is every kid's worst nightmare:

"An 18-year-old flying with his mother was stopped before boarding a plane in Phoenix when the scanned images suggested that something was hidden in his groin area. Although officials asked him what was in his pants, the teen didn’t tell them, according to Trevino. Finally, police were called, searched the teen and found a pipe and foil-wrapped marijuana in his underwear."

Also, why are we spending a zillion dollars to prevent dumb 18 year olds from taking a nug on the plane? The TSA is silly.
